Making NeoGeoCD backups

Visit the Playstation section for the actual copying details, the process is the same. As with newer PSX games some NeoGeoCD games also need patching (see below for more info)

Using copied games on a NeoGeoCD

Just put the CD in the drive and play it as you would any other game. No swap tricks or modchips required (This information relates to a UK NeoGeo CD Model Number: T1-CPD, Item Number: CD-T01, Serial Number: 0010562)

New NeoGeoCD games need cracking

The newer NeoGeo CD games now require cracking. Some games copy and can be played once before crashing (Like Samurai Showdown III for example), some don’t even boot, most display an I/O or READ error.

Update: The person who did a couple of cracks for me has disappeared and I can’t get the info from him regarding how he did the crack, so please don’t ask me. When I get the information I will post it here.
